Come Experience THE FLOOD

I'm excited about the adventure God is leading the River through.  I'm really excited about the direction God is leading The Flood; the Middle and High School Ministry here at The River.  Starting this Sunday Night we will be meeting at The Jorgensen YMCA from 6:30-8:30. The Opportunities of meeting here is HUGE:

  • It's right next to the NEW meeting location of The River starting March 28th.
  • It's definitely a space that gives us some growth possibilities.
  • It's A TON cooler than the ROC
  • Students will actually want to invite their friends.

The Flood mission statement from the beginning as always been: Flood Youth Ministries exists to let God flow up, in and out of our lives.

Flow up – Relationship with God
We work hard to provide an exciting, relevant, God honoring environment for worship. When we worship God, we express our love to Him. All of us are wired for worship and the only way we can express true love to God and worship Him is through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Flow In – Relationship with Yourself
Flood exists to help students as a Christ-follower grow in their spiritual maturity and become followers of Christ. We are focused on providing biblical principles that can be applied to a student’s everyday life. We want students to be  participators not just just spectators. Our desire is to equip students to know who they are and fulfill the destiny God has for them.

Flow Out - Relationships with Others
Another key purpose of Flood is to reach out to people who are outside the family of God. Everyday our students rub shoulders with so many other students who are just an invite away from a life-changing encounter with Christ. We encourage students to build relational bridges with other students who need Christ. We want to train students how to influence the world, without being influenced by it.

I'm also excited as we just recently started our Sunday Night Worship Experience and the first series was a hit.  We talked about how our Christian life is a journey from one thing to the next and sometimes it feels like a huge leap to get there but really all God wants us to do is take a step then another step.  Well this SUNDAY you don't want to miss it because we kick off our Road Signs series: You can’t get to the south beach by driving north, and you can’t get to the top of the mountain if you are walking down it. In the Road Signs series, we will examine the book of Proverbs for wisdom to help each of us navigate the choices life brings because our choices determine the direction of our lives. And it’s our direction, not our intention, that ultimately determines our destination. Where are you heading?

Join Us THIS SUNDAY NIGHT @ The YMCA from 6:30-8:30

    See you there,
    Troy
