Do you love kids? Do you want to serve somewhere, but not sure where?  Free hour on Sunday mornings? Are you just a big kid at heart?  Prefer working ‘behind the scenes’?



If you answered yes to any or all of these questions then RIVERKIDS NEEDS YOU!!!  RiverKids is growing bigger as we continue to help kids and families grow up pursuing God. We have volunteers with every talent, working with kids of all ages.  Our goal is not just to make Sunday the best hour of each kid’s week, but also to allow volunteers to serve in a meaningful role where you can enjoy helping kids experience just how much they matter to God!

• ~ Could you sit in a chair and hold a baby, maybe rock them to sleep? 
  
   Then you would be great for our nursery area.
  ~ Or how about running around playing duck-duck-goose or being silly with preschool kids? 
  
   Toddler or Pre-K small groups are where you need to be!!!
  ~ Want to work with bigger kids (no diapers) - but still tons of energy? 
  
   Our Elementary small groups and large group areas are where to be!!!  
  ~ Working with kids seems like the last thing you’d ever want to do, but still want to help out?

     We have a variety of roles behind the scenes, and on Sunday working with Parents, other volunteers, etc.

We always need extra help in the summertime to give our regular volunteers extra space for their family summer schedules.  Serving with RiverKids is never dull or boring – and we won’t tell anyone that you are having as much fun as the kids (oops, I think we just told everyone).



Some areas to serve:  (most roles have openings in 1st or 2nd hour):

• ~ Nursery - You can serve one or more weeks out of each month. Whatever works for you! We would be happy to have you serve.
• ~ Preschool/Pre-K - We need small group leaders and helpers to assist with play time and our curriculum activities/games.
• ~ Large Group Communicators and Worship Team – Help present the multimedia lesson live to our Pre-K/Elementary groups.  Worship leaders sing 1-2 songs each week along with the music video.
• ~ Tech Team – Assist in large group time with sound, lights, and video elements.
• ~ Small Group Leaders – Work with a group of 8-10 kids divided by age/grade.  Sit with them in large group time, then break out and do some related activities and games to reinforce the main point of the day.
• ~ Registration/Safety – Help parents know their children are safe and secure with checking in, checking out, and general safety during the morning.
• ~ Set Up/Tear Down – RiverKids has a simple setup, but with kids comes a lot of stuff!  Help us get it ready or pack it up on weeks you are available.

~ Parent Fuel – help prepare and/or distribute the monthly materials for parents/families to connect Sunday morning values into the rest of their week.

• ~ Game Peeps and Bouncers – Can you play a game of connect 4 with a kid or help them put a puzzle together?  Help out at the beginning or end of each hour without committing the whole service.  Great for dads – play a game or help supervise one of our inflatable ‘bouncy’ areas.
