Church is more than just a one hour meeting on Sunday morning. The Church is the body of Christ, and we are to be His hands and feet be reaching out to a hungry and hurting world.

Throughout the year, The River is involved in a number of efforts to spread the love of Christ in our own community, around the country, and even around the world.

Locally, we are seeking to multiply God's love through simple acts of kindness. We call these Serve Saturdays. Once a month, anyone willing to invest an hour or two in serving others is welcome to join us.

Outside the U.S., we are partnering with Sergio and Holly Alvarado in Pachuca, Mexico, and their Impacto Latino ministry. This urban center of over 1 million people is teeming with youth with nearly 60% of local residents under 26 years old. The Alvarado's, in tandom with the Jubilee Christian Church, are touching the lives of the youth of Pachuca with the love of Christ. We are partnering with the Alvarado's by providing prayer and financial support and also sending teams to help with projects and outreach. • Help nearly 7,000 people per year
• Need volunteers on Monday, Wednesday or Friday mornings from 8:30 till noon.  Volunteers are needed to share the gospel; counsel on finances; sort and distribute clothes; secretarial duties with computer skills, etc…
