FAQsFrequently Asked Questions
1. Question: What time are your services? Answer: The River offers two convenient services - at 9:00 and 10:45 a.m. every Sunday morning. Children's programming is also available for birth through 5th grade. 2. Question: Where do you meet for services? Answer: Since we do not have our own building, we use Summit Middle School located on Homestead Road near the intersection of Homestead Road and Aboite Center Road. There is easy access to the school from I-69. There is a map tab at the top of the page for you to easily locate the school. 3. Question: Do you have anything for my Middle or High School student? Answer: Currently we are involving our teens in the morning worship and in serving in our Children's Ministry. Teens meet weekly on Sunday evening at The Jorgensen YMCA off Homestead Road. There are also special events throughout the year. Check out the website for more information. 4. Question: What is the best way to share information with the staff? Answer: The best way to ask a question is to write it on the communication cards on Sundays. This is how we share prayer requests and update address/phone info. You can email Mark or any of the Team Leaders. You can also call Mark Cleaveland during the day at 260.227.0227. 5. Question: What's the best way to get information? Answer: The website is a great way to start. On Sundays we try to take a little time before the service to share some announcements on our screen. Also, we offer information in our weekly program. For detailed information, feel free to call one of our Team Leaders. 6. Question: Why don't people dress up for services? Answer: Our church is very focused on people who have never been to church, or people who have had rough experiences with church growing up. We do everything we can to make people feel comfortable. Check out our CORE VALUES and VISION, and MISSION to learn more. 7. Question: Why is communion offered every Sunday? Answer: We do offer communion every Sunday instead of just monthly or quarterly. It just seems to make sense to focus on what Jesus did for us on the cross whenever we gather for worship and not just during special times throughout the year. Our communion service is open to any believer who chooses to participate. |
