Hello, and Welcome to our eCampus! If you’re new here, this is a space for us to engage authentically as humans in a journey to know and love God. We realize that in the current state of things it can be hard to find genuine connection with others, let alone a community of faith to grow with. If you’re anything like me, you might find yourself haphazardly flipping through Bible chapters or pulling up YouTube for another sermon from your favorite preacher and calling it a day. But we want more than that. 

We want more than that because as humans we need each other—it’s woven into our very being. And as Christians, we need others who not only partner with us in our devotional life to know God, but unite with us in God’s mission to reach the world with his love. 

So here is the mission of our eCampus: to make the digital space personal. Whether you are curious about who God is, are new to faith in Jesus, or are a seasoned Christian we’ve created a way for you to learn, interact, and engage with others who want the same thing. We may be restricted by circumstances or separated by distance, but we can still find real ways to seek God and put that faith into practice together. If that’s you, here’s how to get involved. 

Coffee on Campus 

Every Tuesday at 7pm is a live stream event with our Discipleship pastor, Michael Teller. Each week he unpacks a few of the key concepts from Sunday’s sermon — but don’t worry, if you missed the sermon you will still be able to follow along with ease. The main point of this discussion, is to creatively help you put these teachings into action and if you join live you will be able to ask questions and comments during the stream. Think of this as a 3 piece conversation composed of: Biblical study, our own experiences, and how to practice what we learn in our own circles and life rhythms. You can join the livestream at 7pm each Tuesday at live.theriverchurch.us or you can watch it later on our YouTube channel. 

eCampus on Instagram 

Follow our eCampus instagram account—theriver_ecampus—in which we post regularly to keep the conversation going. I know that most of us are quite busy, so we want to be able to engage in a way that is accessible and conversational. Each week are story posts about questions we are pondering together and an opportunity to respond. You can also DM me if you have something you would specifically like to ask or share. I realize social media isn’t a good place to air your dirty laundry, but we can still be authentic in sharing what we desire to learn or how God is already working in our lives.

If you would like to be a part of our eCampus, I encourage you to join or eCampus Facebook Group! It’s a private group (so that we don’t get random persons jumping in) so if you would like to join please just message me—Michael Teller—on Facebook or DM our eCampus instagram account theriver_ecampus. This is a space to share a bit more than a few insta comments or responses. I want to hear from you! Where are you at in our spiritual journey? How is God speaking to you? What are you struggling with and how can we support you? How can I be praying for you? In this group, honesty is welcome and I want to partner with you to make the digital space personal so that we can all live and lead more like Jesus.
