1. How long have you been a part of The River?

I started coming here a couple times a year when I was maybe in 3/4th grade, but started coming full time around 5th. I started doing RiverKids volunteering when I was a Freshman, and then started doing slides full time since I was a Sophomore.

2. Where did you grow up?

Fort Wayne!

3. What does your position entail?

I am currently interning at The River in the morning then going to school in the afternoon. After school I go work a couple hours at Sam’s Club!

4. What do you love most about The River?

How quickly I’ve been accepted by so many different people. I could never imagine being at the point I am today without so many great peers who have taken me under their wing.

5. What do you like to do during your free time?

I love playing sports, but the main one I play pretty competitively is baseball. I play for my high school and a couple other leagues in Fort Wayne. I love playing basketball and bowling with friends, too. If I’m not watching or playing sports, I’m probably either going to the gym or cooking at home. I still play video games sometimes, not as much as I used to though.

6. What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

Eek, I don’t know, I’m a pretty boring person haha. I guess for the last couple years I’ve wanted to do multiple side jobs when I get older like cooking, cutting hair and photography. Cutting hair has always been super interesting to me as well as cooking.

7. What is your favorite scripture?

1 Timothy 4:12 - “don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in the way you love, your faith, and your purity.”
