1. How long have you been a part of The River?

My husband, David, and I started attending The River soon after we moved to Fort Wayne in the summer of 2019, and I’ve been on staff since the beginning of 2020.

2. Where did you grow up?

I grew up in a small town in Maryland on a farm. My neighbors were llama farmers and Mennonites. I moved just south of Nashville, Tennessee for college, and I lived there for six years. David got a job at Sweetwater Sound, so we moved to Fort Wayne in 2019!

3. What does your position entail?

At The River, I organize and lead the band and tech teams, and I also take care of the social media and email communications.

Outside of The River, I am also a freelance photographer.

4. What do you love most about The River?

I love how friendly, open, and laidback the community here is. I love how people continuously seek to hunger and thirst after the Holy Spirit.

5. What do you like to do during your free time?

In my free time, I write and record music. I listen to podcasts. I take care of my plants and my dogs. When we lived in more mountainous places, I spent all my free time hiking and camping.

6. What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

I’m pretty good at hopping on a pogo stick.

7. What is your favorite scripture?

Ezekiel 36:24-28 — For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land. I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Then you will live in the land I gave your ancestors; you will be my people, and I will be your God.
