We believe that God made us for one another and that the Christian life is meant to be lived out in community. One of the ways we pursue this is through Life Groups, which function as a smaller expression of the church. Each group has a unique identity but the principle is simple: gather, read, study, pray, serve, worship and challenge one another to live and lead like Jesus together. Every 2nd & 4th Sunday from 5-7 pm

Led by Daniel & Holly Guerrero

Daniel & Holly have been attending The River since 2014. They are the parents to 4 children. Daniel is a construction/handyman work and Holly works in as a Dental Assistant. They both have a heart to serve others and enjoy time with friends.

Meets at their home

My name is John Griswold and I’ve been with The River since it started in 2006. The past several years I’ve enjoyed serving as part of the elder team. What I appreciate most about the River is the teaching of God’s truths and the genuine love and care for each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. I’m a Jesus follower and I love my family, church and country. I’ve been married to my wife Joni for 33 years. Together we share 4 daughters, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. We’ve owned and operated The BrickKicker Property Inspection the past 25 years. In my free time I like working on home projects, helping others, the outdoors, riding my motorcycle, traveling, antiquing, but most importantly spending time with family.

Meeting every 1st Thursday of month from 6:30-8:30

Led by Ethan & Mallory Leatherman

Ethan and Mallory have been attending the River for more than 15 years and currently serve on the prayer team. They met at IPFW and have been married for 13 years. They have three young kids and love seeing the adventure of life together as a family. They enjoy spending time outdoors, finding new ways to pour into people and discovering how God is at work.

Meeting the 1st & 3rd Wednesday nights at 6pm

Led by Matt & Melissa Baker

Matt and Melissa have been married for 14 years and have attended the River for 13 of those and serve on the worship team. They have three kids with two still at home. Matt works at Sweetwater and plays several instruments. Melissa works at Hopes Harbor, cleans office buildings, and homeschools the kids. They are excited to grow their life group and explore God's word together.

Senior Group - Meeting every third Thursday 

Led by Dave & Debi Moore

Dave & Debi have been married for over 51 years! We have 3 adult kids plus spouses and 5 grandchildren. We enjoy going on walks with our dog Lincoln, and we love to travel. It's nice to have a support group where seniors feel they can be themselves and connect with the Lord.
